Annan School is a small independent primary school set in a beautiful location between Lewes and Uckfield in East Sussex. At Annan we believe in educating children to believe in themselves and reach their own unique potential. Relationships are really important to us and as a small school we work hard to ensure children learn to respect each other and adults. It is the quality of relationships within the school which most often strikes visitors and newcomers and we know have the biggest impact on children’s willingness to learn. Our small classes allow teaching staff to build close relationships with children respecting each child’s individuality and giving each child personal attention. We value and celebrate each child’s achievements with genuine praise and appreciation. We understand that everyone learns in different ways and want to create an environment in which everyone can develop as confident, thoughtful learners who are happy, love learning and make outstanding progress.
A great big well done to everyone who worked so hard to put the show together in such a short time. It was really fantastic. There was a write-up and photo in the Sussex Express over the holidays and now you can watch the video too by clicking on the image above.
Unfortunately the Friends of Annan Barn Dance on 20th May has had to be postponed due to issues with the venue. We will attempt to reschedule it for the Autumn term.
In the meantime we have lots going on over the coming term with the Strawberry Tea, Annanfest and the Patina Markets every Friday. Please do let Helen (Matilda’s mum), Tara (Tassie’s mum) or Libby (Isabella’s mum) know if you are happy to get involved with helping out for any of these, we are always keen to have more support for the Friends activities.
We hope you like the new patio outside the Keilhau Classrooms which marks the start of the Friends funding of the outdoor area.
